On the way to Kaunas we came across this tiny little country town with a massive great big Basilica (circa mid 18th century).

Church and Monastery of the Lord Revelation for St. Mary the Virgin (Dotnuvos Viešpaties apreiškimo Švè. Mergelei Marijai bažnyèios ir vienuolyno ansamblis)

Juris chatted to a jolly fat Catholic priest who then fetched his father and gave us an amazing tour around this one-time monastery and now lovely church in need of restoration.

For some reason it has a collection of HUNDREDS of church vestments - some going back centuries.

Truly amazing.
It was in a tiny town called Dotnuva on the way to Kaunas.
